I had been in search of a 3" minnow mold to produce a bait similar to a popular overpriced store prepackaged bait that I will not name. After months of extensive web searches I decided to take a chance on the 3" Silver Fish 4 cavity mold with machined eyes and lam plate. I really wanted a mold that had the bait oriented vertically so that I could do two tone baits like a black back with white or silver bellies. Others I had found had the bait oriented horizontal in the mold. I was somewhat hesitant to have the eyes machined, but that turned out to be a wonderful addition. I forgot to mention this mold also accepts a standard size nozzle.
After shooting over a hundred of these minnows I will say this is a superb, well crafted mold. It takes little pressure to fill the mold with or without the lam plate. It did take some trial and error to keep the runner form setting up to fast and causing dents. Since I am heating with a microwave I just had to tweak the reheat times and that fixed the problem. I see this biat being effective for not only smallmouth, but for crappie and trout as well.

This is the best fork tail mold Iv ever used. Its easy to inject they never stick in the mold, making two tone baits with the laminating play is easy and work every time and the profile of the finished bait is the best Iv seen.Ill be buying Jacobs molds again.

Fairly new at pouring plastics so your not hearing from an expert. This mold was great 2nd pour came out perfect. Didn't clamp the mold good enough the first time. Have a couple of Jacobs molds no trouble with any. Dummy proof I guess.
