  1. Review of 1/64 Round Ball W/O Collar 10 cavity mold. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Oct 2014

This mold is made extremely well with lots of options as far as hook sizes go. The problem in the past with these molds has been fixed more or less when it comes to the pimple left on the head from the spruce.

As a professional jig head and tackle maker, this has got to be the best mold you can get for the money in this size. It is built like a tank and gives you a ton of options when it comes to hooks sizes. I believe it will go from as small as #10 all the way up to a #1.

The only big down side I see to this mold would be the handles. They have a tendency to melt if left on the top of the lead pot when laying flat. It is an easy fix, just lay the mold standing up on the lead furnace or buy the optional heavy duty mold handles.

They heads that this mold makes are exceptionally pretty and well formed, with no lead left around they eye of the hook.

All in all, this is an excellent, well made, economically priced mold for the options it brings to the table. To get even close to the amount of cavities on a Do-It mold you will be spending well over a hundred dollars and will not have as many cavities or hook options as this mold offers.

    Thanks,
